New department chairs
(05-05-2022) On 1 October 2022, the department of Biotechnology and the department of Food Technology, Safety and Health get a new department chair.
2 new department chairs
In the department of Food Technology, Safety and Health, Prof. Bruno De Meulenaer will take over as department chair from Prof. Mia Eeckhaut.
Prof. Tom Desmet will be chair of the Department of Biotechnology, after Prof. Godelieve Gheysen, the current chair.

The other chairpersons shall remain in office. On 1 October, these are the 8 department chairs at our faculty, for a period of 4 years:
- Department of Environment: Prof. Kris Verheyen
- Department of Plants and crops: Prof. Monica Höfte
- Department of Animal sciences and aquatic ecology: Prof. Veerle Fievez
- Department of Food Technology, Safety and Health: Prof. Bruno De Meulenaer
- Department of Green Chemistry and Technology: Prof. Paul Van der Meeren
- Department of Biotechnology: Prof. Tom Desmet
- Department of Data analysis and mathematical modelling: Prof. Bernard De Baets
- Department of Agricultural economics: Prof. Marijke D'Haese
