Mekete Dessie Wosenie

Mekete Dessie Wosenie is specialized in hydrological modeling, water resources management and floodplain hydrology.

BioDessie

My scientific and research interests are catchment modeling (rainfall-runoff processes), floodplain and lakes, erosion processes and sedimentation and water resources management. Since 2011, my works have concentrated entirely on the understanding of the hydrology of the Lake Tana basin in Ethiopia. Major contributions include determination of the water balance terms of the lake, understanding of the impacts of the floodplain on river discharges into the lake and development of a decision support for an integrated management of water resources in the basin.
