Chief academic administrator Mike Nachtegael and the chief logistics administrator together form the Management Committee, lead by the vice-chancellor (rector) and the deputy vice-chancellor (vice-rector).

The chief administrators are responsible for:

• The day-to-day management of the university
• The co-ordination of the central university administration.

The chief administrators have a seat in the Board of Governors and the Management Committee with advisory vote.

The chief academic administrator is in particular responsible for the steering of:

• Department of Educational Affairs
• Research Department
• Department of Administrative Affairs
• Department of Personnel and Organization
• Internationalisation
