Postgraduate Certificate in Complementary International Studies
The Postgraduate Certificate in Complementary International Studies is a course offered to holders of a Master's in Translation, a Master's in Interpreting or a Master's in Multilingual Communications (awarded by the Universiteit Gent) to study abroad at one of the Faculty's partner universities for an additional year via the Erasmus+ programme.
The course has the specific aim of offering participants the opportunity to study a new foreign language, and in this way to strengthen their position on the employment market. The foreign languages on offer include: German, Finnish, Greek, Italian, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Turkish, depending on availability.
The curriculum consists of 60 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) study credits. A minimum of 40 ECTS must be devoted to course elements focusing on the intensive study of the new language. Successful candidates will receive the Postgraduate Certificate in Complementary International Studies.
